Hi all,

I want to see if anyone knows of examples of government organizations (international, national, regional, or local) using Alaveteli or something equivalently user-friendly (and open-source) as an official electronic FOI platform? I don't remember hearing about anything like this at the conference, but wanted to check and make sure I didn't miss anything.

Assuming the government body was willing, are there any barriers to doing this?

Thanks!
Derek

Would love to hear as well. I know it's been discussed, but we've now been approached by a number of gov bodies interested in doing just this.

Any live and kicking sites?

Not that I know of. mySociety is in the middle of implementing a tool
that allows a local council to use Alaveteli (as in WhatDoTheyKnow) as
its disclosure log (and as a simple workflow management tool). Should
be done in a month or two.
