I noticed AC being helped off the field in the first half and I forgot to
look for him later. Does anyone know if he was injured or if he made it
back into the game?

I thought it was Jason McAddley #80 that got shaken up, and yes, he did
return later in the game.

Anne, it was McAddley. They just had to re-tape his knee.

Thanks, guys. I'm getting conflicting reports. Today's Montgomery
Advertiser says AC reinjured his ankle, Jason has a right knee contusion,
and LB Gary Barnes will be out several weeks with a knee strain.

T-town, you got anything to report?

That report appears to be accurate. Hogan also has a calf muscle tear.

Stewart What's the info on Kenny Smith's leg infection and the new kid

Joe,

All I know is that he's out of the hospital and was at practice yesterday
<Wed.>. They still show him as doubtful.
The depth chart I have <which may be a week or two old> shows his back up as
Jamie Carter <#90>, and while I feel sure I saw him play some against Vandy, I
really don't know how he did.

Maybe someone else in the group here can help out or elaborate on Smith and J.
Carter.

Joe,

Regarding Jamie Carter, it looks like I had it wrong. If he did play on Saturday, he didn't have any tackles:

                  DEFENSE
                  TACKLES (60): Gilbert 9, Dixon 6, Spencer 5,
                  Constant 5, Griffin 4, Myles 4, Rasheed 4, Grimes 3,
                  Moorehead 3, Smith 3, Bailey 3, Brown 2, Dixon 2,
                  King 2, Lewis 2, White 1, Galloway 1, Ellis 1, Cox 1,
                  Draper 1, Walker 1.

                  SACKS: King 2, Griffin 1, Smith 1, White 1,
                  Moorehead 1, Draper 1.

Carter is still a good 25-30 pounds overweight and should not be counted on for
more than 15-20 plays in the heat. Jarret Johnson has his motor revved up all the
way last week and looked good for a true freshman. Kenny will dress but not play
or play sparingly most likely. Carter should lose the weight by the end of the
month and be back in playing shape (he had a situation this summer that kept him
away from training and he is having to pay the price now by practicing and doing
conditioning workouts at the same time).
