Adventists Respond to Oklahoma Tornado Devastation

No church or school buildings were damaged in the aftermath of the April 14–15 tornados that ripped through the Southwestern and Mid-America Unions. In the tornado-devastated town of Woodward, Okla., Adventist Community Services Disaster Response teams are working with OK VOAD (Oklahoma Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster), assessing needs and locating a building for use as a distribution center. Pastors from Oklahoma are helping families search through debris and encouraging and praying with those who want support at local shelters. Native American Ministries Oklahoma has given a check for $10,000 to help feed survivors.
