How to format currency

Hello,

I would like to format currency in hindi in excel but the decimal
changes to pipe (|). How do I retain the decimal and sue for
calculation.

Rām-Rām,

Place double hash marks either side of the decimal point: i.e.: ##.##–or, if in Excel, at the end of all entries, do a simple Replace (CtrlH) with Aksharamala disabled.*

*You shouldn’t however need to use Aksharamala to enter currency values in Excel: simply change your keyboard, and the decimal point­–at least on a numeric keypad–should stay the same.
