Dubai: Saudi Arabia has banned all government and private agencies from
using the Gregorian calendar in official dealings.

The use of the English language to answer calls or communicate, mainly in
companies and hotels, has also been banned, a local daily said.

Poor fellow arrested for petty sums. Does the bribery commission not have eyes / ears / sense to arrest all the big fishes all aournd. Or are they too afraid to touch those close to lockcka? What's happening around? Dont our people think one day we have to go below ground??

The Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Akkaraipattu main bus depot has been
arrested by officials of the Bribery Commission on 16th for accepting
bribes.
OIC has been arrested following a complaint made by a bus driver.
According to him the suspect has solicited Rs.200 to record the
departure turn time of a bus after the arrival.
