Hey guys,
just a brief update, we're currently working on securing the longterm binary support that we're planning from 2.1 going forward, this will of course mean some changes, but this just to make things more stable in the future, and also allow us more freedom in fixing bugs without having to release it as a binary incompatible update.
I'm currently withholding the 2.0.2 release until my binary compat work is done, so I know what will need to be deprecated in 2.0.2, this should hopefully be done some time this week, and I hope to be able to ship 2.0.2 on friday.
2.1-M1 is withheld waiting for Scala-2.10-M4 to be cut, so I can switch Akka over to SIP-14 Futures, ExecutionContexts etc. I didn't want to cut the milestone and have apparent breaking changes going into the M2.
What's most interesting with Akka 2.1-M1 is the Camel Module, so I hope you're all looking forward to taking that for a spin!
For the record, diffing 2.0.1 with my current work on binary compat wich also includes the current master makes it: 622 files changed, 24450 insertions(+), 29973 deletions(-)
I've gone through essentially the entire codebase to add ScalaDoc whereever I can as well as cleaning up and doing general boy-scouting.
Over and out,
Cheers,
√
