Hi everyone,

Akka 1.1 Release Candidate 1 has been released. Akka 1.1-RC1 is built on Scala 2.9.0.RC3.

The 1.0.x to 1.1.x migration guide can be found at:

http://akka.io/docs/akka/snapshot/general/migration-guide-1.0.x-1.1.x.html

Artifacts have been published to http://akka.io/repository

The Akka Microkernel can be downloaded from http://akka.io/downloads

We are getting close to having all the documentation ported to reStructuredText. The latest version of the docs can be found here:

http://akka.io/docs/akka/snapshot
http://akka.io/docs/akka-modules/snapshot

The previous documentation on the wiki is frozen. If you would like to contribute to the new documentation you can fork the code base and send a pull request, or submit patches.

The source code is on github:

https://github.com/jboner/akka
https://github.com/jboner/akka-modules

The Scaladoc API for 1.1-RC1 can be found here:

http://akka.io/api/akka/1.1-RC1
http://akka.io/api/akka-modules/1.1-RC1

Please help us to verify this is ready to become a final release.

Thanks to everyone for their contributions.

- Peter

Woot! Awesome job Peter!

Now people need to migrate so we can know if it's good to go or not.

Cheers!
