Hi guys.

We just released Akka 1.0-RC2 which we hope to be the final RC before the 1.0 final.

It has some minor bug fixes since 1.0-RC1, but generally it seems to be in very good shape. Please help us bang out the last bugs, if any.

Download:

Maven repository:

Both the akka and akka-modules repos have been tagged with the v1.0-RC2 tag if you wish to check the source out.

We are now working hard on the Akka 1.1 release which will have some great new features. Stay tuned.

Merry Christmas and happy hAkking.

/Jonas - on behalf of the Akka team

Maybe I'm just too fast but the sbt plugin is still at RC1

You mean the one deployed at scala-tools?

Since this isn't in the Scala-Tools repository (only RC1 is in Scala-
Tools), if I want to use this with sbt, I found I have to modify
Plugins.scala to look like:

import sbt._

class Plugins(info: ProjectInfo) extends PluginDefinition(info) {
val akkaPlugin = "se.scalablesolutions.akka" % "akka-sbt-plugin" %
"1.0-RC2"
val akkaRepository = "Akka Repository" at "http://
www.scalablesolutions.se/akka/repository/"
}

Were you planning on adding this to Scala-Tools or Maven? Or do the
docs on the Akka site need to be updated? Just want to make sure I'm
doing the right thing.
