Its probably a bit confusing to people to call it 4.0 considering
ajaxim 4.0 is a radical redesign (for the better) !

It is well-documented that ajaximrpg 4.00 is based on Ajax IM 3.41.
So, anybody can find that out with little effort.

As soon as somebody sees ajaximrpg or installs ajaximrpg, if they know
about Ajax IM 3.41 vs Ajax IM 4.0, it will be perfectly obvious that
it is based on Ajax IM 3.41. In fact, a quick glance at the
distribution files will reveal this (seeing that a Node.js server
isn't even included!). So, anybody who cares to know will find out
quickly.

For new ajaximrpg developers and users, the Ajax IM 3.41 vs Ajax IM
4.0 debate is probably not something that they care about. ajaximrpg
is targeted at role-playing games which is a different set of
developers and users than a general IM client. A debate in a
different project with different goals is not of much concern.

As for version numbers, I considered calling it 1.00 but that seemed
to discount all the great work on Ajax IM 3.41. It also would have
caused confusion why Ajax IM 3.41 is an older version of ajaximrpg
1.00. The only alternative to 1.00 is 4.00. It isn't realistic that
ajaximrpg could never release a major version and be stuck in the 3.42
- 3.99 range just to avoid version confusion with the project that it
was forked from. So, 4.00 was the most sensible version number to
choose (as I see it).
