Although Marley Pegler will graduate from Urbana High School this spring, she has opted to complete her senior year off-campus, as a full-time student at Frederick Community College. She plans to attend the University of Maryland, College Park next fall, and pursue a degree in International Relations.

Through the 2008 election cycles, Marley was able to initiate her career as a proud politics junkie. She served as Frederick Co. High School Chapter Coordinator for Barack Obama’s primary and general election campaigns. As such, she helped to organize and participate in several statewide high school trips to Virginia and Pennsylvania. Marley was also given the unique opportunity to serve as Youth Coordinator for Jennifer Dougherty’s Congressional campaign.

Marley is proud to be an active Frederick County Young Dem, and grateful to the elders of the group who have welcomed her into the ranks, regardless of age or stature.
