Email: GeorgeWenschhof@gmail.com

After graduating from High School he attended Manchester College, a Church of the Brethren College, located in northern Indiana where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1975. His major was political science and history.

After completing a semester of graduate school courses at Indiana University's School of Public and Environmental Affairs, he returned to Frederick and went to work for Frederick County Government. As the Employment and Training Director, he managed $4 million annually for new jobs during a period of unusually high unemployment. During this time he assisted in developing Frederick County's first Private Industry Council (PIC). Later, working with the Frederick County Health Department Mr. Wenschhof developed and implemented the first Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program in Frederick County.

After a time spent on Capitol Hill as Employment and Training Director for the National Association of Counties (NACO), George returned to Frederick and entered the real estate field, opening his own firm in 1991 which he continues to operate today. Over the years he has remained active in the community serving on Boards of Directors of non-profits. He was one of the founding members of the Affordable Housing Commission in Frederick County, as well as the Frederick County Christmas-in-April program-recently renamed Rebuilding Together.

Mr. Wenschhof has worked on political campaigns for congress, state senate, state delegate, governor, and President of the United States, appearing on the Ballot as a delegate in the 2004 presidential campaign. He ran for Alderman in the City of Frederick, Maryland in 1997, and explored a run for Maryland State Senate in District 3 in 2006.

His ongoing interest in international relations has often prompted him to take part in the annual eight-week discussion series entitled "Great Decisions" sponsored by the Foreign Policy Association, an independent non-profit organization.

The political discussion Blog www.AiritoutwithGeorge.com was started the end of October, 2007.  Previously, George was a  Columnist on "The Tentacle", a Frederick County, Maryland News and Commentary Website.

He has been a longtime member of All Saint's Episcopal Church, the Sons of The American Revolution, Sgt. Lawrence Everhart Chapter, and Columbia Lodge No.58, A.F. & A.M.
