We're OUR KIDS TROPICALS NURSERY AND LANDSCAPE located on Phil C. Peters Rd., right here in the Lake Avalon Rural Settlement off County. Rd. 545. This is our 23rd year in this location and we are very blessed to be in this unique cold hardy environment here in West Orange County.
We have a rare one of a kind tropical oasis fruit farm and nursery specializing in tropical fruit trees, temperate fruits and citrus varieties. We also are specialist in growing bamboo, many clumping non-invasive varieties that stay in the areas you plant them and are easy to control like: black - gold - blue - buddha-belly and hedging bamboo. Bamboo is great for making a super fast growing privacy hedge, with little to no maintenance. We offer privacy clumping bamboo that grows to different sizes 12’- 16’ or as tall as 55’- 65+’ depending on your needs. Many speciman bamboo as well growing 16’ - 100+’.
We’re also known for the many varieties of flowering and edible gingers, orchids, ferns and other exotic plants. We grow these and have large mature flowering and fruiting trees throughout our 3 acres. We now have 35’ tall macadamia nut trees fruiting yearly & 30’ avocados, lychee, longan, star fruit (carambola ), and many others: guavas, papayas, olives, pineapples, mangos, pomegranates, fig, thornless-blackberry, blueberry, raspberry, mulberries and much more.
We even have the rare & hard to find “miracle fruit bush” that produces a little red holly like berry and once eaten will sweeten ones taste buds for up to an hour or more. Everything that one tastes that is sour or bitter will be very sweet as if dipped in sugar!!!! Doctors and medical specialist are recommending miracle fruits to cancer patients on chemotherapy, as the miracle fruit enhances one taste buds and makes eating more enjoyable.
Many citrus varieties: orange, tangerine, lemon, lime… low chill temperate fruit trees: apples, peache, pear, plum, nect, raspberry’s and grapes that will now fruit here in Central Florida.
We’ve bred bellied pigs 23yrs. & have 2 babys for sale. 3 adults need good home.
