Orange County Parks Hosts Six New Family 5K Races
Orange County, FL – If you and your family like to run in the sun for fun, register online today for the all-new Epic Family 5K races, presented by Nemours Children’s Hospital and Orange County Parks and Recreation! The series of six family fun runs begins April 14th and extends through the summer. Sponsors include Nemours Children’s Hospital, Bright House, Arabian Nights, and Magic 107.7 FM radio.
To register online for a race, visit www.OrangeCountyParks.net and click the 5K race icon. Races are for all ages, and awards are based age groups: 11 & under, 12-17, 18-30, 31-54, and 55 & older. Cost: $25 per person; T-shirts go to the first 200 people who register online.
Locations are all Orange County parks or trails:
· Moss Park, 12901 Moss Park Rd., Orlando, on April 14th,
· Barnett Park, 4801 W. Colonial Dr., Orlando, April 21st,
· Blanchard Park, 2451 N. Dean Rd., Orlando, May 5th,
· Cady Way Trail, 4863 N. Goldenrod Rd., Winter Park, June 2nd (overflow parking across the street at the old Publix shopping center at the corner of Old Howell Branch Road and Aloma)
· Chapin Station (West Orange Trail), 501 Crown Point Cross Rd., Winter Garden, June 23rd, and
· Apopka Station (West Orange Trail), 111 S. Forest Rd., Apopka, July 21st.
On race day, check-in is 6:30am – 7:20am. The race starts promptly at 7:30am, and awards are presented about 9:15am.
