Cleaning Time

It is inventory time at my employment here in Lansing, MI and we are clearing out anything off the books, off the shelves. In the spirit of Free-Cycle I have a lot of material that may be of use to the Hacker Space community. Rather than sending it all off to a recycler (the shreader), late next week, would anyone be interested in these?

 

All the below were on lease and have come back after successful careers and have been obsoleted with newer, much costlier devices.

 

1.       100+ pcs of Cendyne External Analog Modems V.92/RS-232 DB9F w/110Vac-9Vac Supply. These are nice work horse we used for Dial Back Up. http://reviews.cnet.com/search-results/cendyne-external-serial-modem/1707-5_7-30482464.html

2.       100+ pcs of Cisco 831 Routers. 4port LAN + 1port WAN + Console w/Power Supply. We used the above modem on the console for DBU, like an AUX. with below cables. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps380/ps4873/index.html They are out of Cisco Service Agreement, so we no longer use them.

3.       100+ pcs of Cable RJ11 to RJ45 center four conductor 1 meter, phone line.

4.       100+ pcs of Cable DB9M to RJ45(Cisco Console)

5.       100+ pcs of 3M Primer 94 (adhesive cleaner), Crush Tube Sticks. These are used to clean a surface before gluing to. http://www.ellsworth.com/display/productdetail.html?productid=2030

6.       100+ pcs of 1”x3” strips of 3M Clear - Dual Lock (aka heavy duty Velcro) used with the above. http://www.3m.com/product/information/Dual-Lock-Reclosable-Fastener.html

 

A decade ago I(we) designed a small simple embedded product initially based on the ZiLOG Z80 CPU and KIO periphal co-processor and then it’s successor on the MC68301 both with 2 x DB25F(DCE)SYNC ports to RJ11 Dial Modem for Point of Sale. The Z80 and MC68 Core’s were popular CPU’s back then now widely supported. I have the design files and schematics for both of these, so there’s no guessing about their components and features. I can even assist, anyone interested in inheriting them.  Would anyone be interested in these? The RS232 connections can be turned into GPIO to drive many other items.

 

I recall last year that a group was interested in development for intro teaching of MC68HC05’s, but only had a few chips and no platform(PCB) for them. Below are entire simple single embedded systems with lots of spares.

 

7.       100’s pcs of Embedded modem’s based on ZiLog Z80.

They have socketed DIP Flash chip for easy reprogramming.

8.       100’s pcs of Embedded modem’s based on Motorola/FreeScale MC68301.

I have RoEm’s for development.

 

The one catch is that we need to get rid of it by the end of next week. And it would be best if you came and got them. In the spirit of FreeCycle.
