Hello!

Open.Michigan is partnering with the School of Information and Data Without Borders to host a weekend-long datadive in early February. 

This event brings together data scientists, local nonprofits and U-M organizations for a weekend of service. Over the course of the weekend, data gurus will clean, parse, mine, analyze, map, and visualize large data sets, volunteering their skills to non-profits that otherwise would be unable to use their information in any meaningful way. On Saturday, we are also hosting three free workshops for the community in partnership with the Center for Statistical Consultation and Research and the Center for Advanced Computing. 

 

We are looking for folks with a range of skills and perspectives to lend their time and expertise to this event. Whether you are an active data scientist or a novice interested in learning more about how to analyze and use data, we welcome your time and effort. This event is free and open to the public.
