$75 to upgrade Events Manager

Hey hey fine folks of All Hands Active,

Quickie: I propose that we spend spend $75 to make it easy to take online payments through the allhandsactive.com web site.

Details: Purchasing this plugin would make it so we can easily give Oishi, Nicole, or anyone wanting to run a class the ability to keep track of class registration / payments. It would also provide us with a centralized area to track payments & class registration / attendance #s. 

Other Options:

 - If we went with a site like EventBrite, class registrations would cost us more than $75 after 50 to 60 registrations, if not sooner. That might seem like a lot, but we hit ~20 people with only a few badly (my fault) promoted 3D Printing & Laser Cutting classes. ie: For a $5 class, EventBrite takes out $1, if not more.

 - We could use the unpaid version of the plugin, but someone would have to manually create and link to Paypal items (like we currently do)

 - - Then we would have to either give Nicole / Oishi access to our paypal account, or have someone else with access report back to them who had paid for a class.  (This has already proven to be frustrating)

 - - It makes tracking who paid for what complicated

 - - It does not give us a very centralized way of tracking data/paid vs. unpaid registrations, etc.

The full version is a one time payment of $75. Depending on what features get added, we may want to pay again in a year, but it is by no means necessary. More information can be found at: http://wp-events-plugin.com/events-manager-pro/

Considering the lack of work we've had time to do with the website, i'm
somewhat reticent. Has anyone we know and trust used this plugin before
and can confirm it is worth its cost in functionality? I've certainly
paid for wordpress themes and plugins before that were... unimpressive
despite their claims.

1) The free version itself (IMHO) is worth $75. They've mainly stripped it of the easy integration w/Paypal. I've used the free version, and a forked version of it on the Ops site.

2) The free version is already on allhandsactive.com. I've setup the User / Roles Plugin so we can easily assign any account holder access to the events portion of the site.

3) Nate Yost is happy (I'm buying him beer / dinner) to get the full version up and running.

4) I've done about half an hour of research, and haven't found anything that's nearly as complete as the free version of this plugin.

Then I can go ahead and approve this, but can you tell them that despite
claiming they're open-source, there is no licensing information included
in their software when you download it, and thus they are not actually
abiding by any open-source standard whatsoever? There is a blurb that
has the preamble of the GPL in one file, but that doesn't actually
fulfill any of the terms of the GPL.

Basically, I hope they know what they're doing, 'cause it ain't packaged
very professionally :)
