count contributions to this point as tax deductible. *But *there is an

For help with the 1023, I recommend the 501c3
book<http://www.501c3book.com>for less than $40 -- an online e-book
written by a lawyer who was on the
IRS side of things for many years. Then, for peace of mind, you may want
to pass your 1023 by a lawyer; see some listed in our Resource

either under Starting a nonprofit or legal management.
