Wiki is updated with the latest config files and software you will need.

The mini laptop is not yet up to date.

Please do not install the Makerbot software on the CNC machine. The version of java on there is not compatible.

Instructions here:

I'm having issues getting ReplicatorG connected to the cupcake.
OSX. Not finding serial ports..

From: http://replicat.org/installation-mac

There is a /drivers folder in the replicatorg folder you installed. It contains a driver for the FTDI USB->Serial converter used with Arduino and Sanguino boards. If you have already installed Arduino, you can skip this step. Otherwise, please install it.

I don't have a Mac so I've never tried it on one. Sorry.

Let me know if the above fix works.

Note that you have to use the replicatorg 0039 version listed on wiki.allhandsactive.com. The driver however can come from the official release if that one doesn't have it.

Thanks Tyler.
I'll give this a shot when I'm at the shop next.

I'm trying to run the printer and I'm a little confused, is the config folder the same on a mac as for Unix?...I'm a little unsure what I'm looking for there.

Heya, ah..how do you get it to stick to the bed? No matter what I do it just sorta picks up and ends up a globby mess on the bed :(.

lower it at start to pretty much touching the bed. it spreads the first layer a bit thinner. if you use the right slicer  files the first layer goes slower.

Micahel,

Once you get this working, if you write up a quick cheat sheet of how to print from a Mac and add it to the wiki, I'll donate $10 for AHA rent and buy you a pop.

Apparently on OSX you need to put the slic3r configs here:
/Library/Application Support/Slic3r/print
/Library/Application Support/Slic3r/printer
/Library/Application Support/Slic3r/filament

I can't tell if OSX has user specific locations also.

On linux it's /home/username/.slic3r (hidden dir)

No clue on Windows.

On windows 7 it's C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Slic3r\
