I heard there was a bit of confusion in reference to the DIY Team at Franklin Middle School. Hopefully this email will clarify a bit what is going on-
So every week on Tuesday from 3-4pm, my after-school program will have DIY Club. The kids are bwtn 10-14 yrs old. Every week we will be working on a new project or continuing a longer project in electronic, robotics, building etc..
In reference to this week: - Tomorrow, Tuesday March 30th will be the first DIY Team club day from 3-4pm. We are going to be building LED Throwies. I know Josh Valdes and possibly Amanda will be coming out to help us build them. We would really love a crew of awesome young makers to join us. My program will pay for all the supplies and would like to work with AHA to make this happen. We would like to pay you for your time and knowledge as well-- by making a donation to AHA. So if you are interested please let me know ASAP.
In reference to future weeks: - I am looking for guest speakers, project ideas and people to just come in and help make science fun.
I have already met with Backyard Brains and Dale Grover was interested in teaching Soldering. So please let me know if you are interest in doing a project or helping in any way so I can schedule you.
Please feel free to give me a call with any questions you have. 734-757-7484. I'll be out of program at 6:30 today.
Talk to you soon and see you tomorrow! Thanks for your help Xander, Amanda, Josh, Dale, Greg and everyone at the AHA space.
