As a parent whose son has some anger issues (I've been informed the cause is that he is 12 and male), this looks very cool:

I don't see any reason why you would need to develop a special game for this when so many games are already out there. It could be a simple heart rate monitor attached to something that squeals/pauses the game when the rate goes too high.

On the other hand, the game in this article causes you to lose the ability to shoot at enemy space ships when your heart rate is too high, which would make me angrier than anything.

Any ideas on how to get a heart rate monitor to talk to a computer and doesn't cost much?

There are various pulse oximeters available on Amazon for $20-40. I bet you could hack one to talk to Twitter in 1 night and maybe even push the data to FlockDB for visualization!

Male psychological ontology is pretty much: happy drunk from 4-10, tippy drunk from 10-13, hungover asshole from 14-18. I've never much moved past that first phase, hahahahahaha!

Are there any pulse oximeters that won't keep at least one of your fingers occupied? Seems like a detriment to gaming.

Another option: go with a stretch sensor (e.g. http://www.imagesco.com/sensors/stretch-sensor.html or http://www.robotshop.com/stretch-bend-sensors.html) either built into a shirt or a wristband or something, hook that into an arduino / lilypad or one of the recent smaller derivatives to derive pulse from the tiny stretches you get at each beat, then communicate it to the game via usb or wirelessly.
