Linking one task to two different stories

Hello,
When I link one task to two different stories the calculated remaining
time will appear in both stories. Sometimes it is necessary to link
one task to two different stories because both stories can solved from
one task.
When there is no possibility to add the remaining time to one story so
I should have the possibility to limit linking one task to two
stories. Cause user can make mistakes.
Is there a possibilty?

Unfortunately the tool doesn't prevent this yet - just like in a real
whiteboard you should attach that task to the story you finish first and
don't bother with the story that is lower in the sprint backlog.
So basically you solve this issue the same way you resolve depenencies
between stories.

I think it is a good idea to prevent the linking of a task to two
stories as this breaks several assumptions we have in the software and
can lead to bugs elsewhere.
