convert existing tickets to agilo way

How do I convert existing tickets (~300 of them) so that agilo would
ignore them from display in the burn down charts?

Tickets are defects, enhancements mostly.

If they are defects and enhancements they should already be excluded
from the burndown chart (through a bug really - but this may be a
feature for you)

As soon as we fix this, you will need to make sure that the tickets you
want to ignore from the burndown chart don't have a story_point or
remaining_time attribute.

To easily change the type of many tickets at once, I would recommend the
csv export and import on which you can find more in the help that
acompanies each agilo installation, for example here:
