Lightning talk #1: Agile experiences with a new project

Ian Stafford will be talking about the following as a 10 minute lightning talk starting at 7:00:

"I have implemented a number of things as part of my first major project, some went well (some did not) namely:

 

• Unit testing (doesn’t suit every technology e.g. Microsoft’s SharePoint?, team didn’t quite have enough OO skills etc and knowledge of patterns like MVP)
• Integration (this got mixed up with people not understanding the difference)
• Automated UI testing (Selenium, Microsoft Coded UI), has a big impact on infrastructure.

 

We didn’t have a dedicated tester, were not able to automate in every environment (did not have MS Test and Lab Management).
