I don't really get the relationship from Cellar to Karaf. I'm pretty sure that I read "clustering" was on the Karaf roadmap, but that is what Cellar already does, right? So why double the work? Why not just permanently integrate Cellar into Karaf instead?

Methinks Cellar is the part of Karaf that handles the cluster. Karaf then can run as a clustor or on a single host depending on your use of that part.
