Upcoming Real Options Book

I wanted to tell everyone that my friends Olav Maassen and Chris Matts
are working on their much anticipated book: “Commitment – a novel on
managing project risk”. Chris and Olav have been an active member of
the Agile community for years and, if you've attended any of the Agile
20xx series of conferences, you have surely met them.
Olav and Chris describe their book as a business graphic novel on
managing risk. The book is a culmination of their collaboration on the
Real Options model over the last six years. The book provides examples
how to manage a project using the Real Options model and outlines a
simple technique for making better (more informed) decisions. It also
covers more advanced topics such as Information Arrival Process, Game
Theory, Feature Injection, Paradox of Choice and how to deal with
uncertainty. While geared towards project managers, the book benefits
anyone making decisions in their job or daily life.
The format of the book unique as it is a business graphic novel. The
art is drawn by Chris Geary, a very talented professional graphic
artist.
Since they are self-publishing the book, I’m helping Olav and Chris
spread the word and help to raise money for the illustration expenses.
They have opened a crowd funding website where, among other things,
you can pre-order their book. The money received will go directly to
financing the actual drawing of the art for the business graphic
novel.
