Apologies to those of you that get this twice (or more than that if you're on the LUG list).
I'm returning to Iowa so I can visit friends and go to a book sale. However, since the day of the sale happened to correspond with both the Infragard Cyber and Linux User Group meeting, I've worked with the current leaders of both groups to get a chance to present. Since I left Iowa, I've been working on ways to better blend Security as a practice and Security a technology together. I have some ideas that work, but I'm sure they can be improved. The talk that I'm going to give combines Security, Complexity Theory, Agile Development and Psychology in ways that I've not really seen done before.
This means that I'm either doing something new or chasing rabbits down the wrong path. :)
I'm writing this primarily because I've not seen you since I moved and it'd be nice to see you again, but also because I'm looking for feedback on my talk... both in terms of presentation and in terms of the core ideas. I particularly want to pick the brains of former and current Agile practitioners. I'd appreciate it if you could take time out of your schedule to come to one of the two meetings below:
Infragard Cyber Sector Meeting:
Wednesday April 18th - 8am to 10am
Hoover State Office Building
Basement Level A Rooms 5 & 6
1305 E. Walnut St. Des Moines, IA
Central Iowa Linux Users Group
Wednesday April 18th - 7pm to 9pm + optional dinner after
LightEdge
Floor 12
215 10th St. Des Moines, IA
(Park above the 4th floor in the deck on the South side of the building. They validate.)
Thanks,
-Josh
