I'm not an expert in the area but I do believe that the MIT Beer Game is a great way to get started. It's somewhat of an investment though, both in the game and the time.

I did the beer game today using this version: http://www.masystem.com/o.o.i.s/1365 It worked ok once students worked out how to get past the proxy and install java if need be. All they did today was look at the game and play it. I'll go over the outcome next week.
A better version is this one perhaps though, which has lots of materials to help you. http://www.beergame.org/ That's probably the one I'll use next time.
