Tuna to Learn Migration, Habitat Secrets

AMHERST, Mass. – New fish-tagging studies of young bluefin tuna in Atlantic waters off New England by researchers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst are offering the first fishery-independent, year-round data on dispersal patterns and habitat use for the popular game fish. House Passes Bill to Fund NSF, but Nixes Political Science Research and Climate Education

The House of Representatives passed the Commerce, Justice, Science and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2013 (H.R. 5326) on 10 May 2012. The bill would provide funding for several science agencies, including the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), in addition to the Departments of Commerce and Justice in fiscal year (FY) 2013. The bill passed with bipartisan support in a 247-163 vote.

There is a project in Washington state. Condit dam removal on the the White Salmon River. There is likely an EIS to be tracked because they are breaking it apart after initial explosive breaching.
