Dear Colleague:

The NOAA Science Advisory Board (SAB) is announcing the availability of the
draft report of the SAB Research and Development Portfolio Review Task Force
(PRTF) for public comment. The PRTF was charged with providing
recommendations and prioritization of NOAA's current and future scientific
research in light of NOAA's Next Generation Strategic Plan, including
identification of gaps and areas appropriate for consolidation in a
challenging budget climate.

The deadline for public comment is 5:00 p.m. EST on January 23, 2013.  

The draft report and the instructions for providing comments are available
on the NOAA Science Advisory Board website at:
http://www.sab.noaa.gov/Reports/prtf.html
