I'd guess that at least a few of you will know why today is special in
the history of this group.

Yep, it was a year ago today (almost to the minute, in fact) that
AdWords Help first launched. We kicked things off at 12:16 pm on Aug
2nd, 2005 - with our very first 'Charter' post, which, by the way, you
may still read right here:

In the year since then, we've grown quite a bit. Starting rather
modestly (with just the original two members - AdWordsPro and Adwords
Help Owner), we've since grown to a community of more than 6700
members, who assist each other 24/7. How cool is that?

We've learned a few things in the past year too, and have made several
changes to our Charter to reflect this new knowledge, gained from
watching the group grow. These changes are focused primarily on keeping
our group free of spam, promotional posts, and promotional signatures.
We hope that you'll take a look at our new Charter, which was posted

It has been an absolute pleasure to watch the group grow and to see you
all working with each other. And, in the spirit of celebration on the
occasion of our first anniversary, we'd like to honor our top five
posters, as noted below. Thanks to you five, and to all other members
of AdWords Help, for making the forum the thriving community it is
today!
