I have noticed a change in how editor download stats . We used to be
able to download stats in a matter of a couple of minutes now when we
select different date periods , it takes between 30 40 minutes for
each update ! basically rendering the tool useless for us . After
using editor for the past couple of years and always being very
impressed , this update seems to have been detrimental to many
advertisers.
Do you know if we can roll back to a previous version ? Are there any
resolutions for this issue ? It is practically impossible for me to
wait 30-40 mins everytime i want to view stats for different periods.
Hi,
I am in the same situation.
Before it was possible to download stats only for the displayed
elements (keywords,adgroups...). Now it seems that you have to
download everything each time you need stats.
I hope that Google will do something to solve this problem before I
get crazy... Please Google, don't be evil (^_^)
I agree its simply not working - GOOGLE are you out there??? Do you
have answer or resolution for the 1000's of us who are having the same
issue. Please please help . This is a nightmare !

I apologize for my delayed response. I have passed along feedback from
this thread to the right folks, so please know that your feedback has
been heard, along with that from other sources. Based on such
feedback, the AdWords Editor team is working on some near-term
improvements for downloading statistics.
In the meantime, here are some details about the differences between
version 6.0 and previous versions.
* When you select a stats interval, AdWords Editor downloads fresh
statistics for the entire account. In previous versions, AdWords
Editor downloaded statistics in the background, making it difficult to
know which statistics had been updated and when the download had
completed.
* AdWords Editor shows a progress bar as it downloads statistics. (The
progress dialog resembles the dialog for downloading the full account,
but only statistics are downloaded.)
* The stats download now occurs in the foreground, so it's no longer
possible to do other tasks in AdWords Editor while you wait. However,
you can click 'Cancel' to interrupt the download, then resume it later
by selecting the stats interval again. AdWords Editor will start
downloading exactly where it left off.
> Do you know if we can roll back to a previous version ?
No, it is not possible to revert to version 5.
Again, please know that your feedback has been heard - and I do regret
that you are both unhappy with the current version of AdWords Editor.
I'm aware of the differences as is many of us on here and in other
forums. From speaking with other webmasters, the google view

Is not the view of us webmasters who use the tool day in day out. If
you have an account that is of a decent size then as advised before ,
the tool is redundant , it is seriously hampering or optimisation
efforts and a roll back solution would be greatly appreciated or a
solution to this serious problem.

I've a LONG time user of Adwords (nearly since Adwords launched). I
must say that this recent change to the way the statistics are
downloaded in Adwords Editor has become one of my biggest frustrations
with Adwords..ever! For a large campaign, it "Times-out" with an
Error 200-- So I'm not even able to download all my stats any more.
I've reported this problem to my Adwords representative and it's been
confirmed by many other people: http://www.superaffiliatemindset.com/beware-of-adword-editor-60/
Please give me back the ability to download stats for individual parts
of my campaign without having to download everything!!!

Please, Please, Please sort this issue out as what used to be a
breakthrough for me has become the nightmare in my day! I have an
account with more than 130,000 terms in it and i 'used' to use it for
a majority of my day. I am having to revert back to the interface
which has increased my workload threefold!
