Subject: Trademark infringement exemptions?
I have a campaign for a client who owns the trademark for which I am
working on thier campaign.  they said at one time they supplied Google
with a list of URL's that were thiers and approved to use the
trademarked word.
How does one request an exemption from the trademark infringement
issue?

I requested one when I got the message of the problem but nothing
happened.

Thanks

In this case requesting an exception during the ad creation process
will almost certainly not suffice, since you are representing the
actual trademark owner.

Based on what you've said, it seems that the trademark owner has gone
through a formal process with Google of requesting trademark
protection and specifying exactly what trademark protection is desired
- but that, somehow or another, your account has not been made an
'exception to the rule'.

I would suggest that you contact the trademark owner (you'd probably
want to start with the Legal department at corporate headquarters, if
your normal contact at the company is not the right person) and ask
that your account (identified appropriately in their communication
with Google) be specifically excluded from the trademark protection
that they have previously requested.
