Yes, you certainly CAN do this - but whether it is the most effective
thing do is another question altogether - and would depend on what you
wish to achieve.

Here here are instructions for editing your ad (including the URLs) in
both the Starter Edition and Standard Edition of AdWords:

To edit a Starter Edition ad:

    * Sign in to your AdWords account.
    * On the My Ad Campaign page, click the Ad Variations tab.
    * Find the ad you want to revise, and click Edit next to that
ad. .
    * On the Edit Ad Text page, enter your new text.
    * Click Save Changes

To edit a Standard Edition ad:

    * Sign in to your AdWords account at https://adwords.google.com.
    * Click the campaign that contains the ad group you want to edit.
    * Click the appropriate ad group.
    * Select the Ad Variations tab.
    * Locate the appropriate ad and click Edit.
    * Enter your new ad title, description lines, display URL and
destination URL as needed. Make sure that your edits comply with all
of our advertising policies
    * Click Save Changes.

In terms of helping you organize your account most effectively, I hope
you will take a look at the information at the page linked-to below.
This information is key to success with AdWords, in my opininon.

Sorry to step into this thread but I started one before and didn't get
any replies.
This one may be somewhat related, here is my problem and question:

I added the Google translate site tool to my website.
Then created ads in other languages and used the translated site link
as the target of the ad.
After a couple of days I received a warning email from Google, as I
violated the guidelines. I assume the problem is that the display URL
is my site name but the destination is actually different, only now I
realize this destination is a Google site...
Any other way to setup this? i.e. would like to create ads in
languages other than English and point them to the translated version
of my site.
I could create some language specific address in my site and forward
that to the translated destination but I assume this also is against
the guidelines.
Thanks

Hi kindoflost,

The Google AdWords system automatically flags destination URLs that
start with Google domains, which is unfortunate in the case of
translated sites because it's actually your site and not a Google
property. You'll notice that when you translate a page, you'll see a
Google branded frame at the top. If you choose 'Remove this Frame,'
the Google domain in the URL will actually be removed (and your page
looks better!). I suggest using this as your Destination URL instead.
Your Display URL should remain your domain.

If your ad is flagged in the AdWords interface when you're editing
your ad, I suggest submitting an exception request (which will appear
in the interface if applicable).

As you noted, redirecting to a URL that starts with a Google domain
won't work because what AdWords is looking for is a match between the
top level domain in your Display and final destination.

Let us know if the ad doesn't go through, and if you get a specific
reply/explanation/error message for the benefit of the forum
community.

Thanks,

~AdWordsPro.Steph
