(i.e., To do this maneuver, I pay a hosting company named "XXX" a
yearly web hosting fee and it points/re-directs the long web site name
in the above paragraph to the better, more concise www.warblerwatch.com
In turn, it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to have the long web site name, above,
as my web site name at your Google Ad? One, it's too LONG a web site
name. Two, your Google Ad space won't accept the 50+ characters that
my original web site contains.
What's your solution?
Meanwhile, you should NOT be charging me the $50 per month fee because
my Google Ad is NOT showing. It's currently "inactive/paused"
PLEASE give me your phone # so I can call a tech expert.
This is VERY frustrating. The person who emailed me today told me the
wrong solution and it's hair-pulling frustrating to have someone
suggest I use my long web site name when it's obviously clear that
many characters (50+) will NOT be accepted by the Google Ad templat
I have a solution! The support team is right, you do have to use the
long version of your URL because the domain (earthlink) of the display
URL must match the domain of your landing page. You can’t use
warblerwatch.com, because your ad would not direct to a landing page
that had warblerwatch as the domain,
That said, I played with your URL and you should be fine if you use:
Home.earthlink.net/~warblerwatch
The character limit for the display URL is 35 characters and the above
display URL is 32 (we do not require that www. For display URL).

As Sarah noted, you do not need to include the 'www'. If your domain
name is still too long without the 'www', I would suggest contacting
AdWords support directly, - using the 'Contact Us' link on each page
of your account - let them know the details and ask them to provide
you with specific guidance.
