I have the Content Network turned on for most of my campaigns. Is
there a way I can see what websites my ads are popping up on? Is this
something I can or should go through Analytics for?
Ahhh great question. Yes(!) you can run a report that will tell you
exactly where your ad ran on the content network- its called a
placement performance report and can be found in the report tab of
your account. If you have run reports before, the process is the same,
but, just in case, I have included a link to our Help Center:

Thanks Sarah! I have one other question though. In my campaign I have
19,382 impressions from the content network. Then when I did the
placement performance report for the same dates (Sept. 12, 2008-Oct.
30, 2008) I only have a total of 2,903 impressions. Why would this be?

Hmmm, very curious. My first thought is to check the date range you
have set in the AdWords interface. Sometimes my account resets to 'All
Time' when I had previously been using it with a defined date period.
I would start there and if that doesn't clear it up, post again and we
will go from there.

I did check the dates to make sure they were correct. They were
exactly the same on both the Placement report and inside AdWords. I
even changed the dates and ran a report with a smaller date range and
it did the same thing, (had a much smaller impression number from the
Placement report than it had from my AdWords account.)
One thing I did notice that I didn't know if it would make any
difference or not is that all the impressions I have on the content
network are from, "Other placements on the content network" and none
came from "Placements you've targeted" because I have not specified
any. Would this have anything to do with it?

I have similar findings when I run a placement performance report --
and after some back and forth with Adwords support a month or so ago,
they were absolutely useless. They either didn't understand the issue
or didn't care, I'm not sure. I actually have another report (search
query report I think?) where I'm noticing a similar discrepancy. I
haven't emailed support about that since my previous issue wasn't
resolved either. There was at least 1 other person on the discussion
list that had a similar issue, I don't know whether he got it resolved
at all, either.
I did notice that their description for the placement performance
report says: "The Placement Performance report shows performance
statistics for your ads on specific domains and URLs in the content
network..." It doesn't necessarily say it'll tell you specifically
where your ad is running.
If nothing else, it did show me the locations for 2-3 sites where my
ads appeared to perform pretty well, so I added those sites to my
placement targetting list; and otherwise I don't bother with the
report very much any more.

Sorry for the basic question.
I'm running the placement and the geographical performance reports and
both come out blank.
Is there anything particular to be set to run those reports?
