Subject: WARNING: AdWords Editor 6.5 Upgrade - BROKEN
I was prompted to download and install the AdWords Editor 6.5 upgrade
this morning -- and now, despite a variety of efforts, I cannot use
AdWords Editor at all.

The new version generates an error message. I've un-installed, and re-
installed, twice.

Subject: Re: WARNING: AdWords Editor 6.5 Upgrade - BROKEN
I finally reached someone in AdWords Support; the problem apparently
is caused by installing the upgrade without first un-installing the
prior version (in other words, when you loaded the old version of
AdWords Editor and it prompts you to upgrade, don't click "OK" to
install the upgrade -- instead, exit AdWords Editor, uninstall AdWords
Editor, and then download and install the new AdWords Editor).

If (like me) you installed the upgrade without un-installing the prior
version, you must un-install and then delete both Google/AdWords-
Editor folders under Documents and Settings / Your User Name / Local
Settings AND Application Data (two separate folders in two subfolders
under your user ID under Documents and Settings on the hard disk,
usually C:).

Once those files were deleted and I re-installed, AdWords Editor
seemed to load properly (but of course I'll need to re-enter the
account info and wait while my data downloads to see if it's really
working).
