We recently made the decision to deprecate the code sample projects in
favor of the client libraries. We believe the client libraries provide
a more straightforward approach to using the API and include extra
functionality that can simplify certain tasks. Additionally, the open
source nature of these libraries allows for your customizations and
improvements to feed back into the library, helping to strengthen the
larger AdWords API community.

While we are strong advocates of the client libraries, we understand
that there are technical and business reasons why some companies can't
use them. We have listened to your feedback and prepared a special
set of wiki articles that dive into detail on how you can leverage the
v2009 API in a variety of programming languages without using the
client libraries. These articles are available for the following
languages:

Java: http://code.google.com/p/google-api-adwords-java/wiki/NoClientLibrary
PHP: http://code.google.com/p/google-api-adwords-php/wiki/NoClientLibrary
Python: http://code.google.com/p/google-api-adwords-python-lib/wiki/NoClientLibrary
.NET: http://code.google.com/p/google-api-adwords-dotnet/wiki/NoClientLibrary
Ruby: http://code.google.com/p/google-api-adwords-ruby/wiki/NoClientLib

If you have any questions about using the client libraries or these
article please post them to the Developer Forum:
