totally personal, and probably completely unrepresentative, but i just
don't/can't get up at the crack of dawn. i know farmers are supposed to do
that, but that is me. (i'm not really at that place with my farm, anyway.)
if i were doing it, i would not think much of the ride from rogers park to
rainbow beach. if it was a day that i had available, i think it would be

moah's ark plant sale has been extended for a second weekend.
mostly tomatoes, but every sort imaginable, including several from the
dwarf tomato project. real hand-to-hand heirlooms.
nice selection of big italians, and seed savers exchange favorite
heirlooms.

I work with Jill Zenoff at The Gan Project - a community garden based around social justice in West Rogers Park.
The growing has already begun for the summer season. While the seeds are germinating under the blue skies, the leadership is working to cultivate and sustain our organization financially.
