Edwin Taylor & Ken Bernstein
We are a group engaged in exchanging thoughts on ideas in science and their influence on our spiritual lives. Each meeting is (usually) independent of previous meetings; therefore, one may join the group at any time without experiencing loss of continuity. The subject readings for each meeting will be agreed upon at the previous meeting and be posted in the Unitarian and sent by e-mail to all who request them. For more information contact Edwin at eta...@uubelmont.org, 781-646-7775. To register contact Ken at klber...@uubelmont.org, 617-489-3118

I Will Love Whomever I Choose: Victoria Woodhull Unleashed – Sun., April 22, 12:30-2pm, Parlor
Victoria Woodhull was a stockbroker, spiritualist, and champion of women’s rights in the 1860s. Her courageous insistence on women’s equality in all matters, including sex, resonates with us today. Join Laurie Carter Noble to learn more about Victoria’s incredible life.

Caring for Older Adults - 4th Sundays, 7pm, Library
Deborah Blumberg and Miriam Baker
Many people are juggling jobs, families and their parents’ or other family members’ increasing medical needs, frequent emergencies and ongoing need for care. How do we cope with the needs of our loved ones and find some balance in our own lives? What do we need to learn as we take on this task? How do we find information and community? If you find yourself in this position, you are welcome at this group for discussion and support.
For more information or to register, please contact Deborah at dBlu...@uubelmont.org

Coming Up!

Da Vinci’s Ghost: The Untold Story of the World’s Most Famous Drawing – Thurs., April 26, 7:30pm, Parish Hall
Join Toby Lester to hear about his new book, which tells the story of the famous ‘Vitruvian Man” and the ancient ideas that influenced this timeless drawing.

The First Church Book Group: April 25th – Cranford, by Elizabeth Gaskell
The First Church Book Group meets every month of the year (usually on the 4th Wednesday.) We carefully choose a variety of fiction and non-fiction that appeal to a range of readers.  New members, both men and women,  are always warmly welcomed. Unless otherwise noted, the group meets from 7:30-9pm in the Church Library.

Bible Study, Sun. April 29, 12:30-2:30 in the Library
Join Rev. David Bryce and Allison Palm for the final session of a year-long exploration of the Hebrew and Christian scriptures. Each month we’ll read a particular story, learn about the history of that story, and reflect on its meaning through discussion and group activities. This month we’ll be reading from The Book of Revelation. Come once or come every month! Bagels provided.
