Subject: Google Text Ads Overflowing The Boxes in Firefox
I am seeing a problem with certain ad boxes, particularly the 728x90
Leaderboard format.

When there are 3 text ads placed horizontally, I see no problems.  But
when I am served 4 text ads in a leaderboard, the last lines of the
text ads are often truncated.

I see this happening specifically in Firefox 2.0.0.11.

Safari for Windows is displaying 4 ads abreast in a leaderboard
without truncation (the font is visibly smaller, I might add), as is K-
Meleon 1.1, Opera 9.01 and IE 7.0.5730.11.

If there is something I can tweak in the style sheets (not the code),
I'd be glad to do so...

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.11, and  I looked at several of your pages
that displayed the 728x90 leaderboard.  I keep my text size on Firefox
set to normal, and I saw no truncation on both three and four ads.
When I increased the text size (from View on the menu bar) a couple of
times, then the bottom lines of the ads did get truncated when four
were served.  It appears that as long as the text size is set to
normal, then there is no problem.

I "think" that IE will not allow the user to resize text if the text
size has been specified in px, so that may be why you're only seeing
it with Firefox and not IE.  Make sure your  text size on Firefox is
set to normal and see if it makes a difference.  I don't know if there
is any way to prevent Firefox users from increasing the text size or
not.

Thanks for your quick reply, and on a weekend, even.

I tried increasing and decreasing the text size in Firefox, and was
able to change my text size but not the ad text size.

But I found that after I went into Tools --> Options -->  Advanced and
changed the Minimum Font Size, I did affect the size of the text in
the Google ads.  After lowering it past 12, I was able to prevent the
truncation.

So all is good. :-)
