Why isn't there a page in our adsense control panel showing the
suspect clicks?
If google thinks fraud is going on, we should be notified and given a
change to correct the problem.
I suppost the issue is that most of google's adsense customers are
simply web-spammers
trying to make easy money with crappy web sites that have no real
value. The people
with real web sites that have a purpose other than to sell google ads
are taking a great
risk when they participate in the adsense program, a risk that they
will be lumped in
with the spammers because someone on the other side of the planet
click-bombed
an ad on the page.
It makes me really not trust google.
The "accidents will happen" blog post does nothing to address my
concerns.
Several years ago I participated in another ad marketing effort. In
that
system, we had to disclose all of the IP addresses that should be
excluded from
any click reports. This allowed us to click on anything we wanted, so
that we
could test our site, AND review the advertisers. Advertisers can be
crooks too,
so being able to click on the ads is important. So give us IP exclude
lists, so
we can click on our own ads!!! If it could be done years ago, it can
be done now!
Also, you need to revisit the death-sentence policy. If I have a
proper site, and
I am doing nothing wrong, it only takes one person in china to attack
me and
get me banned from google for life. That is just plain wrong! You
are taking
an attack against me, and turning it into something worse... That is
pretty unfair!
It should be easy to remove the illicit clicks from the accounting for
the ad.
Obviously if google can detect a pattern of abuse, google can do
something
appropriate that does not involve destroying the income of honest
people.
This policy brings to mind the phrase "click nazi".
Too bad the advertisers are not held to similarly strict standards. I
have
seen many ads on my site that were from awful companies.
