I am happy to clarify the new language regarding cookies.
While we cannot comment specifically on what the laws in your country
may require, we can say that in most countries the standard business
practice is to notify users of third-party cookies and/or web beacons
in a site's privacy policy.

I've agreed to the new Terms and logged in succesfully into my AdSense
account. Yet today I get this messae:
"Account Not Active
An AdSense account does not exist for this login, as it is associated
with an unapproved application. For more information about your
application, please review the message we sent to the email address
you provided with your application. "
I did not receive any email. Not on my gmail account, nor my private
email. I just colected a lot of money on my account. Is it all gone?

Have still not seen on logging in today to my account the Terms and
Conditions that appear directly when logging into my account. Are
there still some accounts on a rollout that have yet to get this?

I tried visiting the support pages once again but it's the same issue
- I select English (US or UK) but it gives me the terms in Turkish
only. If I am expected to adhere to these conditions I at least need
to be able to know what they might be.

this. It use to work and all of a sudden that ad disappeared. I made
it just a stand alone ad and again it disappears. When I preview it in
my blog it;s there then I save it it's gone any ideas?

Your response does not address the problem: Users that cannot
understand the language you have chosen for your Terms and Conditions
don't know what you want them to agree to. I have the same problem:
I'm in Hong Kong, you have chosen to provide your Terms and Conditions
in Chinese, I can't read Chinese. Now, the Official languages for Hong
Kong are Chinese AND English. Hong Kong is not the only territory with
more than one official language.
As a minimum, provide your T&C in ALL official languages.
You could also prepare a base T&C in every language, and provide short
notes about differences from the base applicable to each territory.
You want us to abide by your rules, so tell us what they are, in a
language we understand.

I've added a link to a privacy policy to the home page of one of my
sites. But do I have to include a link to it on EVERY page of the
site?
Two of my sites have ads on only a few pages, so should I add a link
to a privacy policy to these few pages separately, as in some cases
the visitor may never see the home page, or is one link on the home
page enough?
And finally, is there a time limit for adding these items, after which
you will be checking things, and will a warning email be sent out if
we miss out some page or site - simple oversights do occur, even when
we try to conform to the rules.
I'm sure others would appreciate an answer to these questions, as they
will affect ALL adsense users.

DITTO!!!
Any answers? Anyone? Anyone?
Why are CLEAR answers from Google reps so hard to get in here? If we
violate the TOS we are banned immediately. Please throw us a bone!

Can you please display the terms and conditions in the language
selected in the profile and not on mailing address location. My T&Cs
display in Chinese but I can't read Chinese. Obviously I can't accept
the conditions until I can read what it is that I am accepting. You
indicated previously that other language copies exist on the Adsense
site however I have no no way of knowing whether these are the same as
the Chinese version you are asking me to accept.
I also have the same problem, it comes up in Spanish, but I do not
speak spanish
I don't want to be forced to sign or accept something without
understanding it.
This shoud'nt be done on IP this should be on the language in your
account settings
Or have the ability to view and accept the agreement in a language of
your choise
from a drop down list. I don't see a google rep addressing these
problems here.
What if your sites don't have a "privacy policy"? Are you expected to
go to each and every one of perhaps hundreds or thousands (hmmm) of
sites and add one?
Our engineers have now resolved most of the issues you all reported -
please try the process again and let me know if you run in to any
other problems while reviewing the new Terms.
On the topic of the privacy policy requirement -- while we can't
comment specifically on what the laws in a particular country may
require, we can say that in most locations the standard business
practice is to notify users of third-party cookies and/or web beacons
in a site's privacy policy.

I am in the same country as Google, I am in the same State as Google,
I don't care about what the "country" wants, I don't care about what
the "state" wants. I want to know if the following privacy statement
on my web site is ok with GOOGLE?
==============
Privacy Policy
The following discloses the information gathering and dissemination
practices for this Web site.
Log Files
Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes
internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service
provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp,
and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track
user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic
information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to
personally identifiable information.
Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to
information about the user. Our site does not use cookies. However,
some of our business partners use cookies on our site (for example,
advertisers). However, we have no access to or control over these
cookies, once we have given permission for them to set cookies for
advertising.
Advertisers
We use outside ad companies to display ads on our site. These ads may
contain cookies and are collected by the ad companies, and we do not
have access to this information. We work with the ad companies: Google
Adsense, etc. Please check their websites for respective privacy
policies.

I'm now having the opposite problem - I neither accepted nor declined,
but the new TOS/contract has vanished!
Is this the same for everyone (perhaps b/c Google is fixing the bug)?
Have you also neither accepted nor declined and the TOS still show up?
Have you neither accepted nor declined and now the TOS are gone?
If I'm the only one experiencing this, then I'll have to contact
Google re: what happened. Wouldn't want anyone to assume that I
declined. Simply wanted to update the policies first. Still looking
for an appropriate text to use....
Received a message from google a few days ago containing :
"...While reviewing your account, we noticed that you are currently
displaying Google ads in a way that does not comply with our
policies..."
and
"... we have disabled ad serving to the site...".
I've no idea what the problem is. They tell me to :
"...we strongly suggest that you take the time to review our
programme policies..."
I've sat here and read them. I'm none the wiser.
I wrote to google adsense for clarification.
They responded with a blanket email summarising their policy.
After reviewing the policy very carefully again, I wrote back saying
that my site adhered to the policy.
I got a further response today, which states:
"We are not able to provide specific details
about your site"
and
"As your site was found to be in violation of our programme policies,
it is
no longer eligible for participation in the AdSense programme"
As far as I can see, my site adheres to google's policies. I have
written three times asking for clarification. Google is refusing to
offer any explanation.
Clearly my correspondence with google is going nowhere.
What can someone possibly do in a situation like this?

Hi Stephanie,
I am looking for clarification. Can publishers use other Advertising
Networks? If yes, what happens if Google and another Advertising
Network are running the same campaign?
Is this a breech of contract. The reason I want to know is NBC
Universal wants to run advertisements on my web site. We are currently
in the contract phase. I have contacted
NBC Universal and asked to put the contract on hold until I get
clarifications from Google Adsense. I do not want to be in breech of
my contract with Google.
