I wanted to let you all know that our Terms and Conditions have just
been updated today, so you'll be prompted to re-review the content the
next time you log into your account. You can find more info in our
blogpost:
When I click on I understand the terms of service, it just cycles back
to the TOS again and I can't get to my stats page. Is this a bug
Google is working on? When will I be able to access my adsense account
again?

Since the T&C were posted, I have been in a perpetual loop, completely
locked out of my AdSense account. I check "Yes, I have read and accept
the above Terms and Conditions.", click on "Continue to my AdSense
Account, and I am sent right back to the same T&C page. Checking the
"Remind me next time" radio button gives the same response. It is not
accepting responses using either FireFox 2.0.0.12 or Safari 3.0.4 on
MacOS X (10.4.11).

I've checked with our engineers and they've confirmed that this is an
issue they're currently working to fix. I'll be sure to post another
update when the issue is resolved. In the meantime, you might want to
try a few attempts at logging in - some publishers who reported this
issue were able to log in successfully after a few tries.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but thanks for the quick feedback.

From the blog post: "According to this policy, publishers must notify
their users of the use of cookies and/or web beacons to collect data
in the ad serving process. This change relates to advertisers' use of
innovative products and features like Gadget Ads and other offerings
in the future."
Does this mean everyone needs a privacy policy or just those who use
new products like Gadget Ads? Will Google make available model
policies or notification measures for publishers to build their own
policies around in order to comply with the updated TOC?

When logging in to my account I get this prompt:
"Please review and accept our Terms and Conditions shown below."
The contract is not in English but the options at the bottom of the
page are?!
"Yes, I have read and accept the above Terms and Conditions." etc
Refreshing the page brings me back to the login where the language is
still showing English. I have tried to use both US and UK English to
no avail. I could just hit the button to say I have read the terms and
accept that I don't understand them, but this is far from ideal. I
would like to know what I am agreeing to.
Where is there a copy of this contract in English?

Maybe I'm just not awake yet, but I'm a little confused by this
paragraph...
We've also added some specific privacy policy requirements that make
it necessary for publishers to post and abide by a transparent privacy
policy for their users. According to this policy, publishers must
notify their users of the use of cookies and/or web beacons to collect
data in the ad serving process. This change relates to advertisers'
use of innovative products and features like Gadget Ads, Google's new
test ad server, and other offerings in the future.
... I was wondering what 'transparent' means. I know it means 'see-
through' or 'invisible', but how would you publish something for your
users that they can't see?
I"m thinking maybe it's a technical term for some specific type of
privacy policy.

I was wondering that, too. I don't understand how I'm going to put
that kind of explanation language on all of my pages with regular
ads... it would be really cumbersome and consume a lot of space.

Like Larry, I also get the T&Cs not in English and NO option to read
then in English, even though my account is set to English. Was forced
to accept, but where can I read them in English?

I think this can be done in a separate page. In my site, I have a page
for copyright. I am now planning to modify this page to add one more
section to it as "privacy policy". I will then borrow the words from
the Adsense terms and condition page.

This page states: "The Terms and Conditions vary according to the
country where your billing address is located."
So I still have to accept the new terms and conditions without knowing
what may vary in the country where I get paid. Surely there has got to
be a way to access this important information from within my adsense
control panel so it can be easily accessed when needed.

Regarding the language of the Terms and Conditions that appear in your
AdSense account; the language of the Terms and Conditions that appear
when you log in to your account depends on your interface language
preference and the location of your payment address. As a result, you
may see the Terms and Conditions in a language different from that of
your Google interface.
If you'd like to read our program terms in another language, please
visit the AdSense Help Center (http://www.google.com/adsense/support),
choose your preferred language from the drop-down menu on the top
right, then choose the Terms and Conditions link at the very bottom of
the page. Please note that - as the Terms and Conditions vary
according to the country or territory of your payment address - if
you select a different country, the Terms and Conditions you see may
not be identical to those appearing in your AdSense account, and
therefore may not apply to you.
Regarding the looping issue; many thanks for letting us know that you
are still experiencing this issue. Please be assured that our
engineering team is working to solve this problem. Please note that a
number of publishers have reported the same problem, but have
successfully accepted the Terms and Conditions after trying several
times. For now, I would suggest you try to do the same.

Does this apply to Blogger blogs too, or are they covered by the
Blogger privacy policy? Should we be linking to the Blogger privacy
policy from our templates, or is there a way, other than creating a
new post, to create a privacy policy page in a blogger blog?
