Subject: Script to float adense ad - is this allowed?
I have been seeing many many messages by this very helpful forum
member Keith Numbae in which he is talking about his website and his
script code. Some have expressed their opinion that this code when
used can be violative of Adsense TOS.

I would like to hear the opinion about it from perhaps any of the
Google representative here.

AdsenseAdvisor said this isn't allowed as it draws undue attention to
the ads, and that was back in 2006.

It stands to reason that it still breaks the policies as Google
haven't said otherwise.

Bout time some adsense admin laid it out clearly and deleted the user,
and removed adsence accounts that use the technique.

We seem to be wallowing around without any feedback on this topic.

What's ironic is that if you look at the advertised blog, and hold the
mouse over the 'floating ad units', none of them appear to be
clickable anyway!

It's just an example div with demo text... there's no Adsense code on
there.

I believe that the floating adsense does not violate any policies or
terms because it does not modify or change the google adsense code in
any way.

The google script writes an iframe to the webpage. It is impossible to
modify this iframe. The script only takes the iframe and moves it to
the corner or whatever position in the page.

Where are those adsense admins??

Hi all,

I've checked with our policy specialists and placing Google ads in a
floating script would be a violation of AdSense policy.

Thanks for double-checking before implementing, everyone. Also please
feel free to link other users to this thread if they want official
confirmation of the policy.

unfortunatly for him, he already implemented and is spamming about it
all over this forum.
He insists on ignoring the part of the terms about changing how the
ads appear on the page.
