I've checked in with our payments specialists about your reports of
not seeing any 'Payment in progress' links yet (especially for
publishers located in the UK).
Because the Easter weekend coincided with the start of the March
payment process, payments to the UK will be slightly delayed this
payment period. If you're eligible for a payment, please be assured
that it will be issued and details posted to your account by the end
of the week.
Thanks for all of your reports, and we apologize for the delay.
I am not talking for every one but I must say Easter was over a week
ago, Google knew there may be a delay, a quick post warning people
about a possible delay of a couple of days would have been really
appreciated and allowed some to have slept better over the past few
days:)

I have checked my bank statement today, and although the payment was
issued on the 27th, I still do not see it being transferred. I will
check it again in a few days (I am on the US side).

Some of us actually depend on Adsense for their living. It would be
nice if Google treated us with respect insofar as 'normal' business
relationships are concerned.
If ever I had treated my staff like this, then I would have had a very
unhappy company to run. Easter 'happens' as does Christmas. Why should
it make a difference, simply because the date fluctuates? It couldn't
be that Google sensed yet another way to make a few extra million
could it? (How cynical of me to even think that 'G' would find an
excuse to hang on to money in their own bank account - instead of
placing it where it really belongs - to earn that extra 'little' bit
of interest :-)

Following on from which! Why should I need to actually come on to this
forum to find this out??? If there were anything wrong with the way
that I run my Google-related business, then I am sure that I would
have been told direct.

And further! What sort of impression does G think it will create to
potential partners when they see that this forum is the only way they
will get 'important' news about their finance arrangements.
Rant over - back to more content writing.

Totally agree, using Easter as an excuse is unbelievable. Many
publishers, in other parts of the world got paid on time, is it the
case that Easter only fell in March in Ireland/UK and nowhere else? I
dont think so - more like it was the only excuse that they can think
off.
Isn't it the end of the Q1 and isn't Google about to issue Q1 figures,
now would it be possible that Google has decided to hold of paying a
percentage of publishers until April so the payments are not shown in
Q1 figures and therefor makes the profits better? No surely Google
wouldn't even consider this?

Actually... in the Middle East, and Greek Orthodox countries like the
one where I live, Easter comes at the end of April this year, five
weeks after Western Easter. In some countries, Easter isn't
celebrated at all.
And as far as I know, it's only in the UK and Ireland (and possibly
other countries of Western Europe) that both Good Friday and Easter
Monday are public holidays. AFAIK they're regular working days in the
USA.
Not trying to make excuses for Google, just pointing out that actually
it COULD have been a problem for the UK/Ireland publishers that wasn't
relevant elsewhere in the world.
