As AllEscapes and Graeme have posted, Mel-Ann from the Australia and
New Zealand team sent an email earlier today to all publishers
affected by this issue. As mentioned in this email, the November
payments for publishers receiving payments in AUD or NZD were
calculated using an inverted exchange rate.
We'd like to apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you, and
thank you for your patience as we work to issue the additional payment
due to you. This payment will be issued early next week.
Thanks Ashely for the update! Our friends from Australia and New
Zealand have been flooding this forum with questions about this unique
issue. This memo should put an end this confusion.

This warning has just appeared at the top of my Reports home page:
-----------------------------------------
Your payments are currently on hold. Action is required to release
payment. More details.
-----------------------------------------
When I click on "More details:" I see:
-----------------------------------------
Required Action
EFT failed - please enter and verify a new bank account
-----------------------------------------
After a couple more clicks:
-----------------------------------------
There was a technical error with this deposit. We were unable to fund
your account.
-----------------------------------------
And:
-----------------------------------------
This bank account is no longer eligible for EFT payments
-----------------------------------------
***I do not have any more bank accounts! There is nothing wrong with
this account, nor has there ever been anything wrong with it. If there
was a technical error it was from Google's end.
This is the same account that was working well enough to have the
wrong amount payed into it a few days ago, thanks to the exchange rate
debacle. I received an email saying that I would receive the balance
owed to me by the 7th of January but instead I'm told I have to go and
open a new bank account and wait for it to be verified.
Am I missing something?
Is it possible for this bank account to be made valid again? After
all, it was made invalid through no fault of my own.

Same thing happened to my account. I think its just Google trying to
sort out their stuff up, part of the process as it were. They are
doctoring the figures to make it all work out correctly in the long
run.
I would leave it for a day or two and see if it corrects itself.
I bet someone in Google has a very sore backside this week.

I guess it would be too much to ask of Google to actually let us know
how they were going to apply the refund. Maybe they could've said
something like:
***Please disregard any bizarre behaviour within your Adsense account
over the next couple of days while we sort out our mistake.***
On second thought, it makes more sense to let everyone think they need
to open a new bank account and get it verified before they are going
to get payed.

The message you saw, 'EFT failed - please enter and verify a new bank
account', was just a display error related to the inverted exchange
rate issue. Rest assured that no action is actually required on your
part. Fortunately, from your last post it sounds like the display
issue in your account was resolved.

If you had a hold on your account related to this error, the issue
should be resolved. The hold was a display error, and not an actual
hold. Sorry for any confusion this caused.
If you have some other hold on your account, you'll have to read the
information provided in your account and Help Center, or contact
AdSense support so that they can investigate the situation.

I'm glad to have come here and found out others were having the same
issue. This EFT error message, payments on hold, and request to enter
a new bank account have just appeared on my account and I'm hoping it
sorts itself out in the next couple of days. I don't have another bank
account to try!
