There has been far too much unnecessary fighting and name-calling in
this group in the last several months. Such posts are frustrating for
users trying to get real help, and removing them is time-consuming for
the moderators. When we can't catch them quickly enough, they tend to
spark additional arguments and insults, leading to ongoing negativity
and distraction from the actual purpose of the group.
From the charter:

We hope this forum will become an important part of the AdSense
community, and provide another outlet for you to search for answers,
ask questions about AdSense, find tips to optimize your account, and
make good use of your own AdSense expertise to assist others.
-----------------------
Unfortunately, many of your real questions and valuable insights and
answers have been lost among spam and insults lately, and it's become
clear that we need to do something to fix this problem.
***From now on, any user who repeatedly insults or fights with other
users will be removed from the group. It doesn't matter who started
the argument or what it's about. This is not the place for
fighting.***
If someone insults you, I strongly encourage you to not respond. If
your membership is revoked and you believe the decision was unfair,
you can contact the group owner through the link on the 'About this
group' page and you may be reinstated after a suspension period of at
least one week.
If you believe this policy is unfair, let me know.
Awesome Idea! I am very happy to see ADSense Pros are finally taking
action in this forum. I %100.00 support this decision & I am certain
that the attitude of some contributors in this Forum will radically
change soon.

If that 'really' is the case ASP, then I will gladly pop back in here
from time to time to help as I can. In the past I have felt insulted
when trying to get serious help from from GoogleAdsense over a
particular problem, to then be referred to this group which - as you
rightly say - has become a cesspit for spammers and those little nerds
wanting to 'lure' novices on to their blogs and sites etc. (Trouble
is, there are too many self-proclaimed experts out there with ulterior
motives - so those need to be sorted as well!!)
I am so glad that, Google has seen sense and allocated some resources
here. I am sure that it will pay off, and I for one will pop back and
do what little I can (time-permitting). There are still some of us who
try to help with genuine cases, and this action will encourage a
wealth of experience back into this forum - even if wanting to do it
for self preservation. For if Google continues to allow the crass
sites to flourish (often encouraged in here) then the future is going
to be bleak, and as I now more or less make my living from Adsense, I
would like to see some more professionalism right from the bottom up.
This forum is every much a part of Google as are the the 'lifers', and
the actions suggested, and your 'control' over this group, has been a
long time coming.
Best wishes for Christmas - whatever you faith or creed - and a
prosperous 2008 - when Google finally GotSense with Adsense.
(I thought the Christmas card from your masters was a lovely little
touch - even if it was probably sent to another 50,000,000
Adsensers. :-)
Regards

i am not getting income from ads despite taking the help of referral
links, search links etc. in nov i earned $0.72 but this month i coull
not earn a single penny. my url- http://ideasmine.googlepages.com.
moreover on writing my page url to the brouser an statement"the page
you want to view can not be viewed(404)" is seen. i think this is the
reason that i am not getting any income.

I believe that if folks come here to extend an helping hand, instead
of coming here for argument and harassing new forum members, the forum
will be a better place.
There's no point in having them as they're clearly not being used
properly. Nearly every post has been marked 1 star just recently, and
other members have the same problem (see my previous post, and Dan B's)

"Dan B is a martial arts expert so no one will pick on him anyway."
hahaha, ya, it's funny when fights start online, I often wonder what
people would act like face to face...I always speak my mind, face to
face or not...I try not to be mean, but always honest, some of these
keyboard-based toughguys (and girls) make me wonder...

When your posts are all marked 1 star for absolutely no apparent
reason.
Is everybody rating your post one star then.
Are they ALL out to get you?
I would suggest that we all ignore the star rating and try and help
each other.
Make it a New Years resolution everybody... myself included.

I don't believe answers have been lost due to anything. But, I agree
that there should be a better way to remove the spam messages
automatically. :-)
As for insults, its easy to ignore and just move on.
Regarding the "revenge ratings" - back when this started to become a
problem, we asked the Groups engineers whether the feature could be
turned off for this group, but unfortunately it's not possible. As
yuyutsu suggested, I hope everyone can just ignore these irrelevant
ratings and continue helping each other as you have been.
I'm looking forward to 2008: The Year of the Friendlier AdSense Help
Forum :)

I think alot of the frustration comes from people not being able to
use your product..I can't seem to get it to work and can't get any
"real help"..its very frustrating.
Can you imagine how much more $$ you could make from your advertisers
if there was easier help and instruction?
And yes, I've gone through all the FAQ, watched the tutorial,
etc...still can't get the code to save in my source..

I think they assume (rightly or wrongly) you're savvy enough to add
the code because you already have a web site.
good to see this group moving foreword, but remember the users of this
group are mostly starters, so don't take too fast action in baning
someone, but then repeated mis-behaves are un-tolerable everywhere.

ok, are we allowed to ask proper questions in this group, or are we
just talking about insulting people?
sorry if that sounded like an insult
cause i have a question and id like to ask it
