I'm very excited to introduce not one, but TWO new official Google
representatives to the AdSense Help Forum today. They will be helping
me answer your questions, clear up confusion, remove spam, pass your
feedback to our product teams, and simply be here to listen to what
AdSense publishers need and want. As always, the purpose of this forum
is to give you all a place to meet and help each other, and we think
that a greater official presence will support that goal.
AdSensePro Ashley works in our Dublin, Ireland office supporting UK
English publishers. AdSensePro Jordan works in Mountain View, CA, USA,
and specializes in publisher engagement and community projects. They
both have lots of valuable experience and great advice to offer this
group, and are looking forward to getting to know all of you. Like
mine, their posts will be marked with a blue "G" badge to indicate
that they are Google employees.
(For those of you who also participate in the Blogger Help Group, note
that this Jordan is NOT the same Jordan that posts as "Blogger
Employee" there. But they are friends, and often work together on
forum projects. :) )

Ha, I don't know about "Overlord," but I'm looking forward to working
with all of you here in the group. I'm sure I have a lot to learn from
you, and I hope I'll be able to teach you a thing or two in the
process.
I imagine you'll be hearing from Ashley tomorrow since it's already
after midnight in Dublin (and I'm hoping she's not still at work...)
Also, AdSensePro and I are about to take a few days off for the
Thanksgiving holiday, but we'll try to pop in from time to time to see
what's going on and keep an eye out for spam.

I am looking for advice on how to get more clicks on my adsense adds
without being banned from google. I have alot of work into my site and
it generates very little revenue. I would like to figure out a way
that I could get more people to visit my site and click on the adds.
My site is http://www.vermontinternetdesign.com I would just like to
ask someone from google what is an ethical way of going about getting
traffic to my website or to get people to click on the adds. Should I
put lots of adds on the site. I do not know. I built this site to
advertise my web design services but have steered away from that idea
and went with the concept that if I have more pages within my website
I will have more traffic becuase there are more pages to list. The
majority of traffic this site recieves is from organic seo. I was
wondering if it would be ethical to take extra money that I make and
invest it into google adwords. Again I dont know. If someone could
help me get this site together so it makes some type of revenue that
would be good. I get a check from google about every 3 months after
about 250 clicks from my site. I would like the site to generate about
$100 a day or so. That would be my ultimate goal. Is this a forseeable
goal with what I have started or should I revamp things.

Thanks to AdSensePro for introducing me, and to all who have posted
welcome messages.
Like Jordan, I am delighted to have the opportunity to get involved
with the group, and am really looking forward to working with you.
I see that some off-topic messages have been posted to this thread.
Just a gentle reminder to keep your posts on topic, as per the group
discussion etiquette detailed in the forum charter. It's important to
keep posts on topic so that existing threads are not interrupted. If
you are not familiar with the group discussion etiquette, you can
check it out here:
http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help-misc/browse_thread/thread... .
I can provide some tips today, but you might notice that off-topic
posts can go unanswered so please try to stay on topic in future.
- Vermont Internet Design, I see that you are keen to maximise your
AdSense revenue. For tips on how you could improve the performance of
your ads please visit https://www.google.com/adsense/tips . You can
also browse for answers in this group's archive. If you would like to
chat with other publishers about their experiences, please start a new
thread.
- shailendra pundir, please check out the Help Centre
https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=45866&hl=... for instructions on how you can implement ads on your Google Page
Creator site. And remember that other publishers will only be able to
help you troubleshoot any issues if your site is up and running.
Again, if you have any further questions on this, do start a new
thread.
Finally, Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating.

Warm welcome. We Blogger bloggers had been speculating about Jordan of
BHG but maybe Jordan of BHG may not take it kindly me discussing what
we were speculating about. Although highly tempted to ask for
confirmation of our final conclusion, I think it wise to refrain from
it. Maybe if you ever bump in Jordan of BHG, you may want to chat
about what we fellows had been speculating about.

I run a vbulletin website and have no idea what the authentification
url is, so I cant fill out that field correctly. Would you happen to
know the address of it? I assume its something like http://url.com/authenticate?
And does vBulletin use post or get?
Thank you for your time and I hope you can help in this matter...
Also, lets hope that this puts an end to some forum members claim to
authority of this forum and then abuse it to harass and stalk other
forum members.

Stalk and abuse? Wonder who is the one doing it. Anyone knows? Any
help from any quaters highly welcome. Anyway, I now even have hardly
any time to visit Blogger Help group. So not much chance to stalk and
abuse anyone, but remembered being abused by someone in thhis group
and thread.
Claim authority. Perhaps. Maybe I should plea "guilty" here.
I have been "abused" and "bullied" before and I know what it is like,
but I have never taken it laying done (not sure if laying down is the
correct spelling here because I am "a slit-eye yellow peril" which
attitude thankfully have largely been abondoned in highly developed
country. I don't come from a highly developed country but from one
aspiring one to achieve that distinction by 2020. It is called Vision
2020 and perhaps if anyone wants to stalk me, you know how to use the
Internet, you might just succeed in stalking and abusing me.
Apologies for this chatty message, but it just so happened I make my
now rare visit here and noticed this pinned thread. Could have easily
missed it.
Vbulletin uses both POST & GET methods, but all logins use POST for
security reasons. I'd suggest you open a separate thread to enable
users to answer your query properly, and help this thread stay on
topic.
Thanks for the warm welcome. If my now senile memory remebers
correctly, you are connect to some programs that help... (sorry senile
old grandpa forgot, please help)
And hope you can help me answer about who is stalking and abusing
whom. No need to respond if you don't feel there is a need to
respond.
Sitll no signature, no links and no claim to authority
Actually Enviroman brings up a point that is important here.
Is there some way that the regular posters can show their sites, and
not be afraid of the head cases who want to click bomb them?
So many times I could help people with a link to an article, or show
an example from my own site, yet am unwilling to risk my adsense
account for it.
This is just insane, really that google is unable to address this
issue, and that people who have helped in the passed have lost their
accounts because of it.
Where else on the internet would this situation exist, when all the
solutions are at hand to resolve it?

Well I for one am very happy to see the additional staff here. I'd
give you two an estimate of how many extra staff this may eventually
take, but let's give you guys a chance & see how it goes. So welcome
Ashley & Jordan. Let's hope your stamina & courage are strong. We need
that here.
I find that like others, adding fresh content is really the key, but
fresh content which is highly relative & helpful for visitors, whom
can then refer my blog to their friends, associates & contacts as a
relative service to them. But I must say that with all the helpful
pages & the forum, we all from time to time still seem to need a
little hand-holding. And I as much as anyone would like perhaps Live
Chat Personnel, not to replace you guys, but in addition, and please
be fluent in English for us here in the USA.
I have much to ask but will wait till we all get past the Welcomes.
And Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate.

I do post links to relevant posts to answer questions when
appropriate, but it can cause problems like other members don't like
you to post links and in fact one gave me instruction to answer in the
forum rather than provide links. I ignored that as I think it the
easiest way especially when you have screenshots in your posts, it is
a lengthy explanation, etc. Further, when it is your own posts, you
can edit or update it as circumstances change. Because some forum
members don't like links, I have so far run into problem with 2, one
in this group. When I first ran into problem and had long time
consuming and unnecessary exchanges. One tried to destroy my
reputation and I am forced to defend myself (keep silent and people
assume you are guilty). One of the ways is to show how providing links
have helped forum members. Because of that unpleasant incident, I
started compiling comments from grateful bloggers ready to point them
to it whenever I run into problems. You can see a long list at
http://blogger-tricks.blogspot.com/2004/05/comments-about-blogger-tip...
Compiled not to boast as I am of the opinion our gifts come from our
Creator and really we cannot claim credit for it, complied for reasons
stated above.
Regarding click bomb, my advice is to not make online enemies, but
sometimes you run into people where you cannot avoid it. What I do is
to check the reports everyday, contact AdSense support when I get into
arguments in forum expressing my fear of sabotage. Have done that
twice. On two days (not related to the arguments I think), there was a
sudden huge increase of clicks and this was immediately reported to
AdSense. So far I have been safe, but I have heard of cases where
publishers have reported invalid clicks and still got banned. I
suppose you have to weigh between the benefits and the risks and if
the risks is worth it.
Since this thread is related to AdSensePro's, I think it is all those
following this thread that they can give some feedback regarding this
important issue.
Since I am willing to take the risk but take precautions, here is now
my signature line with a single link:

Sorry have to repost. The above should read:
Since this thread is related to AdSensePro's, I think it is all those
following this thread would really hope for some feedback from the
AdSensePro's regarding this important issue.
Are self-page impressions okay? I've been updating my website, been
playing around with my ads placement, text and background color. I
believe I have made quite a few self-page impressions. Will this be
considered FRAUD? Please clarify. Does Google know whether it's the
website owner making these impressions? Response is very much
appreciated.

You are allowed to view your own sites. But for me, I sometimes go
direct, often via a link in Blogger Dashboard, post editor, etc so
AdSense knows where it is coming from and I think that is safer.
However, Adsense said you can view your own sites, but don't know if
you can abuse their tolerance
