You may have noticed the nifty new "AdSense for feeds" option in your
account. Now you can use AdSense to put ads in your RSS feeds. For
more information, I definitely suggest you check out the Inside
AdSense blog post: http://adsense.blogspot.com/2008/08/i-feel-need-need-for-feeds.html.
Well, as Google rightly puts it, this could be a great! news for
seasoned publishers out there; Or, 'huh?' for novice publishers.
Feeds are a great way to let the audience knows about the website
updations, changes, current news and so on. This is of no use for
beginner publishers who are still striving hard to get some traffic
going. However, with the option of putting Contextually Targeted Ads
into the Feeds and earning from it, this is very good news for
Professional publishers who has got a large number of subscribed
visitors via Feeds.
I think, with the introduction of this, this could also make 'Using
Feeds' popular as well. Beginners will give this a try and try to
integrate Feeds system to their blog/website. Thus, this technology
'Feeds' should become a popular way to notify about site changes/
updations.
The other advantage of using Feeds with Adsense could be the knowledge
of 'detailed stats on your feed audience' when Feed is setup via
FeedBurner. This should be handy for webmasters to fine tune their
headlines/messages which they deliver as feeds.

We are looking forward to trying this new idea out in practice, I have
looked at all the read mes regarding this subject today and to be
honest its a bit confusing even for us with 100's validated websites
under our belts but as this has huge implications for all users once
we figure it out we will hopefully be in a position to put up a
tutorial for this welcomed facility for Blogger websites in order in
helping others!

Following the Google adsense directives and video from Feedburner was
straightforward enough. The Feedburner Help file is very informative
and helpful.
It's worth pointing out, we had never used Feedburner before this
action today.
Hope this points someone the correct way;
We added an URL Channel to our list in the Google Adsense pages, it
can be added at exactly the same location as Channels.
All information can be gleaned from the Google helpfiles.
Once completed, we then joined Feedburner and added our URL, once you
go through the three (3) stages in Feedburner you are offered a code
to enter into your Website HTML, this code caters for old and new
templates and strongly hints where to put the code if you have a made
by yourself webpage.
After experimenting a bit we found that all went well after changing
our old template to a newer model.
Best Regards,

How about three BOOS! I love the fact I can now put Adsense in my
feedburner feed but now I have TWO frigging FEEDBURNER accounts thanks
to following the directions in my Adsense logon for my adsense
account...
Now I have no idea which feed to promote -- my original Feedburner
feed or this new, crappy (in my opinion) URI where the ads will
supposedly be served? What do I put in Feedsmith now? What sorts of
re-directs will I have to put into my .htaccess file now?
NONE of these issues are being addressed, AFAIK -- at least not yet
and I would appreciate it if somebody would address them. IS there a
seemless way for those of us who aren't exactly advanced web designers
to have just ONE Feedburner account (preferrably my ORIGINAL one) with
the adsense ads served to that one? PLEASE HELP -- Obviously, I'm
frustrated and a little bit torqued off at Google/Feedburner for
simply ASSUMING every adsense associate has a need to burn a new feed
and establish a new Feedburner account.
Sorry for the venting, but please do help -- and in terms anybody can
understand.... thanks :-)
Could someone from Google provide clear and concise instructions on
how to migrate our Feedburner Feeds over to Google Feeds. This should
include the following.
1) How to migrate your existing feeds
2) Do you need to change the RSS Feed link in your Blogger pages and
if so what to and how.
3) What happens to my old Feedburner account? Is this now redundant?
4) Where do I go to Log in to see my feeds and stats etc?
5) Users who currently subscribe via the feeds.feedburner address will
they all have to update their feeds? If not I assume the old feed url
will still work? If so will they get the Adsense? or will they all
need to migrate over to a new Feed Address?
This is all very confusing. I have over 50 Feeds and over 10,000
subscribers and I'm very worried about losing subscribers etc. I'm
sure I'm not the only one in this situation.
Hmm... I thought <b>The Google</b> knew all. Apparently they hadn't
thought this one out yet. In the meantime, this is costing both them
and myself money because I'm sticking with the original Feedburner
Feed unless and until these last questions are addressed because --
HEY -- they're IMPORTANT :-)
These questions are important, reasonable and the sooner they're
answered, the sooner we can engage in a mutually beneficial
arrangement with monetizing our feeds I suppose...
I currently get 10 clicks daily on my feedburner. I didn't try the
adsense for feeds now. I am waiting for more updates as well as
reviews about the new feature. I know that every new feature have
problems and i will join the new feature after problems are resolved.
Moreover, people are not happy with the current situation of google
adsense because most of the users get problems and the customer
support is replying an automated reply that contains the same
information.
If you send 10 different request or suggestion to the customer
support. You will get 10 similar reply. What will you expect for the
users reaction? For me, i might transfer to other programs.

I am finding the attitude of some of the early adopters of this new
and very interesting product rather strange to say the least,
some of you seem to think there's something going on and its a ploy to
somehow shift subscribers away from your websites well if that were
really the intention why would any Company offer to increase your
revenues by adding AdSense to your existing Feedburner Accounts when
the very same Company owns and controls Feedburner anyway?
We at Domain Holdings love this product as it does what it says on the
tin 100%!

I understand that ads may not be served if we use a browser to view
the feedproxy URL, but that dedicated RSS readers should be able to
see them.
I have tried an online reader (Google's) and a dedicated desktop
reader (RSSOwl) and still do not see the ads.
I also understand that I do not need to modify any templates or code
in my blogging platform for this to work if I use the "burn new feed"
feature.
So this looks like more a bug in the system than anything on the
publisher's side of things.
Any help or comments would be appreciated, thanks!

OK guys lets take this one step at a time where have you went for the
information on this superb new feature as all the information is out
there waiting for you all.
Its really important to mention you have to go through the 3 steps
from the feedburner wizard before you get the code from feedburner and
there NO short cuts and you are advised to Read all help files on
everything connected with this new project before attempting to
install the code on to ones website/s.

I signed up a while back and literally GAVE UP. I could not get the
code to read on my site, I went through the help forums, got nowhere,
ran out of time. so now I've received a renewal notice, which was a
dead end link to nowhere. Can't get any person to help me live online
while I'm trouble shooting to figure out why the cut/paste to create
the spots where the add will show up to work.
So, is this a real email from google or a scam?

I'm completely confused by this, and I have used Feedburner and feeds
pretty much since their inception, although I am new to AdSense. I
followed the instructions, first from Feedburner, then from my AdSense
page, and installed (supposedly) the ads. They show up at the bottom
of the post on one of the feeds but not on the others, and it seems
that there is no tracking of the views (or clicks?).
Today I put up a blog post that was viewed over 200 times. The feed
ads showed up at the bottom of the post (like they were supposed to?)
but my report shows no data for the AdSense for Feeds section. If
200+ people read the post, shouldn't a few impressions have been
recorded? I assume those ads are the feed ads because they weren't
inserted as content ads.
Also, the feed channels don't show up anywhere even though they're
supposedly there when the feed is created.
I should add that I love the positioning and look of the feed ads.
The content ads are still showing up, but it's OK. The only thing
that bugs me is that I have a nagging feeling that more people are
seeing and clicking on the feed ads, and it's not being recorded. The
AdSense for feeds report shows no data available. It's really
frustrating.
I found an issue. FeedFlare (and hence adsense integration into your
site) doesn't work for any feed that is hosted at the new
feedproxy.google.com address.
Basically the http://feedproxy.google.com/~s/feedID directory doesn't
exist or return the correct javascript snippet like
feeds.feedburner.com/~s/feedID used to. This should be a small fix (I
would think) but a big missing, since now FeedBurner site stats and
FeedFlare will not work for any of the new Adsense enabled Feeds.
