Creating Google Adsense account with non-google-associated email address

Hi,

I'm currently using the sandbox API and when using createAccount via a
non-google Account email address (eg, hotmail) it still goes through
and returns a 200 success message. What would happen if this was live?
Would the user receive an email with further instructions in the non-
google email?

Yes, that is correct. Any email address will do, as this is simply used for validation.
